Lady Of Grace

High care is basically all the care a person may need to ensure daily tasks are attended to appropriately. It includes 24 hour nursing care.

Person who is receiving high care, is also receiving: accommodation, laundry, meals, assistance with activities of daily living (eg. dressing, showering, feeding or mobilising), social activities and support for people with cognitive impairment, medicinal treatment and procedures, cleaning services, toiletry goods, waste disposal, mobility equipment, rehabilitation support, access to external health services such as: podiatry, dentist, optometrist and doctor.

Lady of Grace Aged Care Facility is a high care facility. People who may require high care would include anyone who cannot perform activities of daily living on their own due to physical or cognitive disabilities. This would include people who have conditions such as: dementia, stroke, incontinence, arthritis and sensory deficits due to the ageing process.

Prior to admission to any aged care facility, an ACAT assessment is required to determine eligibility for high care.
